On behalf of the ACAGE Board of Directors and the NMSU Department of Civil Engineering, it’s my pleasure to invite you to the 2022 ACAGE Banquet and homecoming activities.  A summary of the events are provided below:

 

Thursday, October 20th, 2022

  • ACAGE Annual Business Meeting (3:00 – 5:00 pm @ Jerry Shaw Conference Room in NMSU Goddard Hall) – ACAGE members will formally accept the new initiates, elect new Board Members, and discuss Board and membership initiatives.
  • ACAGE Initiates Banquet (starting at 5:30 pm @ La Posta Restaurant in Mesilla) – new initiates will have opportunity to introduce themselves to the membership and share stories of NMSU, career, and other events of choice.  Banquet attendance is $35 per person and you may bring one guest.  Reservations for the event can be made at the ACAGE Eventbrite ticket page:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/acage-2022-banquet-tickets-393288525567

 

Friday, October 21st, 2022

  • Engineer’s Council Picnic (11:30 am – 1:30 pm @ Maggard Courtyard near EC 2)
  • Civil Engineering Department Tour (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm @ laboratories/classes of EC 1 and EC 2)

 

Saturday, October 22nd, 2022

  • Homecoming Parade (TBA starting at Pan Am Center, travels west on University Avenue)
  • Aggie Football vs. San Jose State (4:00 pm @ Aggie Memorial Stadium)

DEPARTMENT CONTRIBUTIONS

 

Membership in ACAGE provides a network of professionals in the industry and in higher education whose contributions are critical to advancing NMSU’s Civil Engineering program for undergraduate and graduate students. Members assist with the development of curriculum, career guidance, research and recruiting activities.

 

Gifts and donations made by the membership are utilized in ways including, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • modernizing laboratory equipment and test facilities,
  • developing programs to aid students in preparation for the Fundamentals of Engineering Examinations and pathway towards licensure,
  • developing on-line graduate courses for working professionals,
  • student recruitment, retention, and scholarships,
  • and to support faculty awards for teaching, research and service.

  • Associate Member – $50,
  • Member – $100,
  • Lifetime Member – $1000

 

Please note that starting in 2023, ACAGE Members will receive a 10% registration discount for the following professional development activities led by the NMSU Department of Civil Engineering in collaboration with the Engineering New Mexico Resource Network:  Annual NM Transportation and Construction Conference (typically held in April) and Annual Samuel P. Maggard Quality Concrete School (typically held in January)
