  • Angela (Montoya) Valdez received her B.S.C.E. from NMSU in 1996. Upon graduation, Angela took on a full-time position with the City of Las Cruces Utilities Division. She moved to Albuquerque in 1997 to pursue consulting. For the past 20 years, Angela has been privileged to focus on providing Engineering services for communities across New Mexico. Other ventures have included design for projects in California, Colorado, and Arizona. Her reward is knowing that she has served communities well and that her services have had a positive impact. Angela is grateful for the Civil Engineering degree and mentoring she received at NMSU – especially the support she received from Dr. White, Dr. McPherson, Dr. Idriss, Dr. McCarthy, and many other professors, graduate students, and fellow Civil Engineering graduates.
